What is MUJI Canada’s return & exchange policy?

Items can only be returned or exchanged at the store of purchase.
Store credit is not available at this time.
Used merchandise cannot be returned or exchanged.
All items on sale are final sale.
All items on Limited Time Value sale can be returned or exchanged within 30 days.

By Department:

Stationery:

All writing utensils, notebooks, loose-leaf items, binders and office supplies are final sale.
File Storage (File boxes, acrylic storage, MDF storage, Bag-in-Bags) have 30 days for refund or exchange, only in the original packaging or tag attached with the receipt of purchase.

Health & Beauty:

All skincare, make-up and beauty accessories, towels, travel bottles, bath goods, incense, and cotton pads are final sale.
Aroma Diffusers and Make-Up Storage have 30 days for refund or exchange with original packaging and the receipt of purchase.
Aroma diffusers must not be used in order to be exchanged or refunded.
We do not offer any warranty on the aroma diffusers.
Essential Oils, once opened, is final sale.

Houseware:

All kitchenware, tableware and cleaning goods are final sale.
Bedding and Slippers have 30 days for refund or exchange, with no damage or visible changes, tag attached and receipt of purchase. Items should not have been used.
Storage Items (PP Storage, Cotton-Linen Soft Boxes, Baskets, Hard Pulp Boxes and Tin items) have 30 days for refund or exchange with original packaging and receipt of purchase.

Furniture:

All items have 30 days to refund or exchange, with the original packaging and the receipt of purchase.
Delivery charge is not refundable.

Garments:

Kid’s, Ladies and Men’s Garments have 30 days to refund or exchange, with no damage or visible changes, tag attached and receipt of purchase.
Items must be in original condition and cannot have been worn.

Accessories:

Scarves, stoles, pyjamas, hats and sneakers have 30 days to refund or exchange, with no damage or visible changes, tag attached and receipt of purchase.
Socks have 30 days to refund or exchange with tag attached and receipt of purchase. Once tag is removed, it is final sale.
Items must be in original condition and cannot have been worn.

Innerwear and Undergarments:

All items are final sale.

Food:

All items are final sale.

Gift Exchange:

Gift receipts can only issue an exchange, not a refund, within 30 days of original purchase.
Refunds can only be made with the original receipt of purchase.

Gift receipts can be used to exchange items of an equal value to the gift.
Store credit is not available at this time.

An extension to the gift receipt can be made if the item in mind for exchange is not available.
Please speak to the management of the store in regards to an extension.

Items that are marked Final Sale at purchase cannot qualify for a Gift Receipt.

Can I place an order over the phone or by email?
Unfortunately, no. You can purchase online via the U.S online store, or visit one of our Canadian stores in person.
Do you offer home delivery?
Home delivery is possible in Toronto and the GTA area for in-store purchases. See below for details:

Carry In Service:

Driver will assist in taking the furniture into the room of your choice.
*Available in Toronto and the GTA area.
*Product like Bed Frames and Mattresses are counted as separate items. Legs for Pocket Coil Mattress are included with Bed Frame.
All deliveries will be conducted between the hours of 9AM to 5PM

Door Service:

Driver will only leave purchase in front of your building, or lobby of condos and apartments.
*Available in the Toronto core area (North - Major Mackenzie / East - Markham Road / West - Winston Churchill)
All deliveries will be conducted between the hours of 9AM to 5PM

Courier Service:

Items will be shipped from stores via courier.
*Available within the province on Ontario only.
Please allow at least 1 week for deliveries.

Please contact your local store for information related to inventory.
Do you have an online store in Canada?
Unfortunately, we don’t have one at the moment, but we are working on it.

Does MUJI offer gift cards?
Unfortunately, MUJI Canada does not have a gift card system.
