Melbourne to Welcome a New Flagship Store with the Expansion of the MUJI Emporium Store

MUJI Australia is excited to announce that the Melbourne Emporium store will be expanding and re-launching as Melbourne’s Flagship store in Early November. Thanks to an additional 500 square metres much more furniture will be able to be displayed for customers to explore, along with some exciting new additions.
The current store will stay open for a while longer with some amazing discounts as part of the EMPORIUM EXPANSION SALE with up to 70% off selected Fashion items exclusively in the Emporium Store.
MUJI Australia will expand and re-launch its flagship store in Victoria on the 3rd of November 2016, following a VIP launch event being held in the evening of the 2nd of November 2016. The new store covers a total space of 1102sqm with 910sqm sales floor space. Opening day will see a number of special offers across the entire store with limited edition gifts with purchase.
The expansion will have a strong focus on household and furniture with the additional 500sqm allowing more of MUJI’s furniture range to be on display than has previously been possible in Melbourne. This will help shoppers to reimagine their living space and together with MUJI staff, put together a furniture plan to maximise their space without compromising comfort and style.
Along with a focus on furniture, the expansion will also act as an opportunity to introduce key MUJI products and ranges that have never been available in Australia before. The Emporium store will be the first store in Australia to have a designated Found MUJI range, which are products that personify the MUJI attitude to ‘search’ and ‘find out.’ Alongside the Found MUJI range, items such as the much anticipated large ultrasonic Aroma Diffuser and denim Bead Sofa covers will be available in the new MUJI Emporium store exclusively, before being rolled out to MUJI’s other stores in Victoria and New South Wales.
MUJI Australia’s expanded Emporium store will be the second largest in Australia after the Galeries store in Sydney. Worldwide it sits amongst a total of 758 MUJI stores and this expansion will only help to solidify its position as a new Australian staple. The Company is planning to open additional stores in Australia with plans of launching an online store in the future.
