[Ended]Introduction to Urban Agriculture and Botany with U of T Sky Garden

July 27, 2019

Matt Stata, Director of the U of T Sky Garden, will be in-store at MUJI Atrium to introduce urban agriculture and botany, and how you can start your own garden in the city! Participants will be able to learn about things like how to start seedlings, different soils, and other interactive and resourceful demonstrations.

[Guest Presenter]

The Sky Garden is a volunteer-run rooftop vegetable garden at the University of Toronto. This garden showcases U of T’s light-weight model and serves as a teaching space for urban agriculture workshops. Run by volunteers with the aim of increasing local, organic food availability for the student community, the Sky Garden uses a network of lightweight, semi-hydroponic containers and a drip irrigation system to grow around 500lbs of vegetables each season.
