[Ended]Learn About Kombucha Making with O5 Tea

September 7, 2019

Did you know that MUJI has a wide variety of kitchen staples that are perfect for kombucha making? Let’s learn how to brew your own kombucha with O5 Tea, the Vancouver-based organic tea hunter!

During this event, O5 Tea’s kombucha expert Taryn will introduce everything you need to know to brew kombucha at home. This includes the recipe, brewing times, flavouring, carbonation and SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) care. Participants will have a chance to try O5 Tea’s line of kombucha-recommended teas.

O5 Tea and MUJI will also offer kombucha kits for sale after the event. The price of a kombucha kit is $45 and it includes everything you need to start your first batch!

Taryn of O5 Tea:

Catered to students of all levels, Taryn’s kombucha-making classes will not only cover the foundations of brewing, but will delve into the nitty gritty details of how to customize your brew. You will leave her class with more than just the ability to brew something – you will be able to brew something perfect for you.

Taryn’s approach to teaching is casual and inviting; a conversation, rather than a lecture. Whether you are an absolute beginner or have some experience under your belt, her straightforward teaching will leave you feeling confident in your new-found (or newly-refined) brewing abilities.

About O5 Tea Bar

O stand for our obsession with Origin. We travel the world building strong bonds with farmers and sourcing rare tea from remote villages. We want your cup to tell the story of the earth on which the tea grew and the hands that lovingly harvested each leaf.

FIVE represents Nature’s elements: Earth, Water, Wind, Fire and Void. In harmony, these elements express tea leaves into an outstanding cup. Welcome to our tea bar! We see it as a space to host friends, share and experiment.
