Temari

[Ended]Art & Tea Evenings – Temari Workshop

December 10, 2019

‘Art & Tea Evenings’

We invite you to sit down with MUJI for a perfect ending to a long day, as we provide a place in-store to try out and practice the many different arts of the pen, brush, paper, and colour. This series aims to engage our community by bringing people together in a relaxing and meditative space to enjoy an evening of art and a warm cup of MUJI tea.

Temari Workshop

Temari means “hand ball” in Japanese. They were once created as toys for children, but are now considered to be an art, made with careful and intricate embroidery patterns, and given to loved ones as gifts symbolizing well wishes.

MUJI Atrium and Robson Street will provide a quiet, relaxing space for you to come in to wind down with the art of temari-making! This is an embroidery craft that we will teach you how to get started in making temari. Use what you learn in this workshop to complete your temari at home, or create even more for the holiday season!
