On Friday August 16th, MUJI ÅHLÉNS CITY STOCKHOLM has opened on the fourth floor of Åhléns City, Sweden’s largest department store located in the center of Stockholm, with a sales floor area of 1,203.3m2.
The MUJI business in Sweden started in 2004 in a franchise form, and has been increasing MUJI fans for 14 years. It has been directly managed since 2018, which marked a new start. With the opening of MUJI ÅHLÉNS CITY STOCKHOLM, Sweden's first large-scale store, we aim to deliver MUJI’s idea of “a simple, pleasant life” to more and more people.
The store is partially made of timber from a 100-year-old abandoned barn in Järvsö in Hälsingland, presenting the value of timeless designs. It possesses a full line-up of all MUJI’s products sold in Europe including clothing, household goods and food and aims to serve the daily life of our customers.
In order to support customers’ everyday lives and to meet their wishes of “I want to do this” or “I wish this could be done”, Interior Advisory service, Styling Advisor service and Tasting Advisor service are also available at this store. What is more, it also provides Embroidery service, for the first time in Sweden.
In the sales floor for children’s goods, the customers can feel free to make use of TeamLab's digital blackboard where one can touch the screen to draw lines, and to play and learn together.
