In 1986, he set up One Stroke studio and started his creations under the name of “book makers”. Since the birth of his daughter Ai Komagata in 1989, he found that he did not want to pamper her only, but also want to deliver messages. During 1990-1992, Komagata created “LITTLE EYES” series. He understood the new born babies do not know how to distinguish colours, yet, they respond to contrast and simple shapes.
