Introduction

Life is the interaction between human beings and things. Daily goods such as tableware, storage furniture and bicycle are designed to solve daily life issues. The basic of MUJI’s product development is to create products that are truly fundamental to daily life without any unnecessary aesthetic and functional complexity through dedicated observation of people’s daily lives, and over 7,000 quality products consisting of household goods, apparel and food have been developed to bring a simple and pleasant life to people around the world. This talk event aims to promote the growth of creative industry and inspire the creative thinking of design students and design industry professionals in Hong Kong through sharing the product development concept and process of MUJI since the brand started in 1980.
