Reminiscing the Old Time with Quicksand
MUJI has invited local sand art artist, Snow Chung, to display a series of sand art pieces with the theme of Hong Kong memories, including playgrounds within public housing estates, old local stores, mobile softee, a variety of classical snacks and entertainment from the old time which present the unique lifestyle of the Hong Kong in the former days.
The display also features video of the sand art creation process, rewinding to the past which customers may recall memorable moments and feelings with the flow and changes of the sand. Meanwhile, taking this opportunity to reveal the lifestyle of Hong Kong in the previous days to our younger generations.
About Sand Art Artist - Snow Chung
Actively promoting local sand art creation and development, have been producing customized stories with sand art videos for various brands, charity organizations and government departments while presenting as guest for live performances and events. She has also established personal sand art academy and being tutors and guest speakers for courses of different educational institutions.

PAFCAL Soilless Planting Workshop – Open for Registration Now
To further promote the sustainability of our environment, MUJI is going to hold soilless planting workshops with local environmental organization, Plant Plant. With tutor’s sharing on the soilless planting concept while offering experiences of transferring plants from soil to the organic soilless PAFCAL, customers can have a better understanding on the growth of plant and its daily care. We would like to take this opportunity to encourage the cultivation of easy planting habits from customer’s daily life which contributes to the initiation of green living while protecting our environment.
‘MUJI Green’ plant series are featuring the soilless planting which suits for the climate in Hong Kong with easy daily care. Planting at home or workplace while enjoying the natural ambience.

Experiencing sand art painting on the tailor-made lightbox with sand and our hands, recording the precious memories and art pieces with photo and video takings.
MUJI held 2 sessions of “Sand Art Painting Workshop" with instructor sharing and demonstrating on the techniques of sand art painting, customers can experience using different parts of our hands for various effects and changes of the sand which create unique art pieces. Customers can release stress from daily as the sand flow changes, feeling relaxed and calm both physically and emotionally while enjoying the healing brought by sand art.
