This Christmas season, join us at Open MUJI as we engage in sustainability and explore the creation of new values by hands using remnant materials left over from production processes.
Collaborated with Studio Brieditis & Evans
Studio Brieditis & Evans works with design, craft and product development of textiles and related products. Katarina Brieditis and Katarina Evans, are based in Sweden and have been working together since 2003 with different textile design projects. In the studio they combine all their experiences in design, crafts, textile production and re-cycling.
Workshops
Create Your Own Notebook Workshop
Date: 7 and 8 December 2019
Time: 11:00 – 13.00hrs, 14:00 – 16:00hrs
Location: Open MUJI, MUJI Plaza Singapura
Workshop Fee: $20
A collaboration with SPD, a non-profit organization serving people with disabilities since 1964. Create your own personal hand-bound book and learn the steps of Coptic Binding from experienced craftspersons with physical disabilities.
The workshops are suitable for participants age 16 and above.
Sale of Journal with Upcycled MUJI Fabric
Price: $30/journal (before GST)
All sales proceeds will go into helping persons with disabilities become self-reliant and independent.
This limited edition line of A5 journals feature covers re-purposed from MUJI’s fabric remnants, and hand-bound by SPD’s craftspersons with disabilities who specialize in bookbinding and restoration.
