MaKaRi

MaKaRi offers Japanese contemporary tableware, small gift items and Japanese antiques (including tableware, furniture, fabrics and figures) since 2008. Japanese antiques are sourced directly from various cities in Japan, such as Kanazawa, Hagi, and Kyoto. Each antique is hand-selected carefully by Yuko, the owner of MaKaRi, according to her personal tastes and aesthetic sense.

The contemporary tableware are also mostly sourced from artists living in and producing their work in Japan. She has personally developed a network of artists that grows through recommendation of artists she already works with.

She hopes to share the beauty of Japanese art and antiques and to provide an opportunity for Japanese artists to share their work in New York City.
