Take your calligraphy game to the next level. Join us for an introductory lesson on adding flourishes to your calligraphy, and learn about a few practical applications of this style.
Workshop Itinerary
- What is flourishing and how it works (3 minutes no demo)
- Warm up (10 minutes including demo)
- The structure of calligraphy flourishes (5 minutes no demo)
- Rules of flourishing (10 minutes no demo)
- Practical applications of calligraphy flourishing (10 minutes including demo)
- Outside of the box calligraphy flourishing (10 minutes including demo)
- Tips (5 minutes no demo)
To enjoy this workshop to the fullest, be sure to get familiar with the basic strokes and lowercase calligraphy alphabet! You can check out Telisa’s free worksheet here.
You’ll need:
- Basic knowledge of basic calligraphy strokes and the lowercase alphabet
- a pencil
- an eraser
- paper
