MUJI Reopens at Taikoo Cityplaza: Two Floors of Shopping Comfort

MUJI Cityplaza Store will reopen with a new look on 27th September (Friday) ! The store has relocated to the 2nd and 3rd floors, with an expanded area to provide customers with a more spacious and comfortable shopping space, sharing MUJI's concept of "simple, pleasant life". The new store is spread over two floors. The second floor primarily focuses on food, featuring a large tasting area, a COFFEE STAND, and a water refill station. The third floor will offer various living essentials, such as clothing, home goods, and travel items, to meet the needs of residents and office workers in the Eastern District of Hong Kong Island.

To celebrate the reopening of MUJI Cityplaza Store, there will be a limited-time gashapon activity during the opening period. Shoppers who spend a specified amount at the Cityplaza Store will receive two chances to play the gashapon machine, and randomly win two tailor-made MUJI Product Pins. Total of five pin designs. Limited quantities available, while stocks last.

“Raw and Recycled Materials” as the Design Theme

The new store spans two floors, located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Cityplaza. Upon entering the second floor, shoppers will immediately notice the distinctive feature wall. This wall is crafted from recycled materials like grain and sunflower seed-based wallpaper, raw clothing materials such as cotton and denim, and various other home goods. The store design highlights MUJI commitment to raw materials and environmental consciousness.

Food Area

To create a natural and rustic atmosphere, the food area is designed with a marketplace concept, using reclaimed wood and particleboard as the main finishes. Coupled with lifestyle-oriented display windows, MUJI has built a vibrant marketplace for its customers. The harmonious wooden design, with elegant wooden columns, guides customers from the second floor to the third floor. While the upward-extending wooden ceiling bars create a cohesive ambiance in another area, enhancing the sense of flow and comfort in the space.

Clothing Area

The clothing area features a light gray color scheme, combining metal textured back panels with wooden veneer walls. This area perfectly showcases the stylish clothing display while maintaining harmony. It provides customers with an elegant shopping environment.

Homeware

The home goods section features wood fiber boards and natural-colored ash wood, with an open wood display area and multi-level display tables that highlight warmth and a sense of home. This design creates a cozy atmosphere for MUJI customers.

Food Tasting Zone

MUJI Cityplaza Store has added a large tasting area where customers can visit during designated times to sample recommended Muji foods, enjoying a "try before you buy" shopping experience. Additionally, the tasting area will offer food heating services daily from 12 PM to 8 PM*. MUJI CYCLE Recycling Bins Promote Sustainability

MUJI Cityplaza Store will introduce recycling bins for resource recovery. Customers can bring clean recyclable materials such as paper, plastic, aluminum cans, glass, and clothing to the store and place them in the corresponding recycling bins. By recycling these materials, it can be processed and remade into everyday items, thus reducing resource waste.

MUJI Green

MUJI Green incorporates plants into environmental design, suitable for various living spaces, creating a simple and refreshing green lifestyle. MUJI Green uses foliage plants that thrive in Hong Kong's climate, combined with easy-to-maintain soilless sponges, making them ideal for indoor planting. Easy greening of living spaces enhances the environment and adds a fresh touch to home decor.

Water Refill Station and COFFEE STAND

MUJI Cityplaza Store has added a "Water Refill Station" which offers free drinking water. Shoppers can bring their own bottle and refill water at any time. The store also offers various water bottles for sale. This campaign encourages the reduction of single-use plastic bottles and helps customers to cultivate eco-friendly habits in daily life. Additionally, the store features a "COFFEE STAND" with a self-service specialty coffee machine. MUJI uses freshly roasted beans from a local Hong Kong coffee roaster to grind and prepares a variety of hot and cold beverages, filling the air with rich aromas.

From 27th September to 6th October, customers can enjoy a promotional price of $20 for any hot or cold drinks at the COFFEE STAND.*This offer is only valid at the MUJI Cityplaza COFFEE STAND.
